Check out Ikogosi warm spring, Its a beautiful place in the interiors of South Western Nigeria, a confluence of warm and cold water, dwellers have a lot of superstitious believes and folktales about the origin of the water, we were told the water originated from a husband who married two wives and left them to hunt, one of the wives was temperamental while the other was humble and easy going (they went on with long stories, you’ll be told the full version when you visit) they also provided a lot of proofs to substantiate the story.
The temperamental wife turned to the hot water spring through black magic, the calm wife turned to the cold water spring through with her powers too, the husband returned from his hunting trip heart broken and turned into that mountain that now protects the river and they lived in the spirit realms ever after, the warm spring wife and the cold spring wife met at the foot of the mountain (The husband) and decided to live forever.
As much as I love the story and would like to believe it, science is a spoiler, I heard its some kinda volcanic eruption, whatever your thoughts are, you should visit this beautiful place and experience the uniqueness of mother nature.
