Travel Plans after the crisis

As we all are staying home in these hard times all our travel plans are either postponed or cancelled.
Today I would like to share my travel plan after the crisis and In the same way, I would love to hear travel plans from my fellow local guide friends.

My Travel plan
Exploring the rich cultural heritage and architecture of Tamil Nadu state which has a great history and number of wonderful temples and many beautiful and scenic places.

I want to start my trip from Chennai by visiting fort st George and marina beach and then travelling to

Mahabalipuram which is famous for its rock-cut cave temples and seashore temple which are UNESCO world heritage sites.

Pondicherry an old French colony in India welcomes us with its beautiful beaches and still existing French culture.

Thanjavur with the 1000-year-old Brihadeshvara temple which is One Of The Greatest Architectural Wonders In India. Thanjavur painting is also very famous.

Madurai very famous for it’s beautiful Meenakshi temple also knows as the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu

Rameswaram which is an island very famous for Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva where the Shiva is worshipped as JyothirLinga and it is one among the 12 JyothirLinga. Rameswaram is connected to mainland India through Pamban bridge.

Kanyakumari is the best place to see the sunrise in India and the southernmost point of mainland India.

When do you intend to do this trip @Harsha_Reddy . If in the immediate future, it is not a good time to do such travel in India. You may catch the virus yourself and possibly spread it.

Thanks for tagging me.

This is a dream travel circuit for Tamilnadu.

I have done a similar one last year.

Based on that I’d strongly recommend including Airvateshwar Temple which is a UNESCO Heritage site and it is also “on-the-way” from Puducherry to Thanjavur of your current plan.

Wish you a happy journey.

hey @Harsha_Reddy thanks for the tag! This looks like a good itinerary for touring the East Coast. I would also like to follow this path someday.

For now, i have burnt my fingers with travel plans in April & May due to the pandemic. I wanted to see unseen places but now left with credit shells from airlines. :grinning:

But once this virus subsides, few years down the line i have a list of Indian & Foreign destinations that I want to visit in the future…

Keeping my fingers crossed till then!

Thank you @Harsha_Reddy .

I have only two plans at the moment, but as soon will be possible I will make more, because I am a very “last minute person”, haha.

So, I am planning to go to Hawaii in October, to a meeting with one of my favourite writer and teacher, Eckhart Tolle.

The second plan is to buy a house in Egypt. I understood in this period of time - the lockdown, that we should follow more our navigating insight.

Thank you for sharing with us yours!

When I was in Chennai in 2004 I had gone to Marina Beach. From chennai I visited Pudducherry also. Cashew fenny is very popular of that place and Osho centre.

Kanyakumari , I went in early 2019. Thiruvalluvar statue, and lots of big Church are also there.
