Travel in the days of Covid

Far north Queensland in Australia is a travel hub for visitors to the Great Barrier Reef and related holiday activities such as diving, snorkelling, swimming, fishing including Marlin fishing and relaxing resort living.

The coastal fringe is the gateway to the reef. The hinterland opens up to a fabulous world of best practice food production that rivals anywhere in the world.

World class beef is sold locally in at a locally owned and operated supermarket.

Produce including tropical fruits…mangos, pawpaws, pineapple, five corners, strawberry, rambutan etc… Vegetables of every kind including sweet potato from Yarrabah that are the best you will ever dine with.

The closure due to Covid has devastated the tourist industry as it has elsewhere, however the people of the north still seem to exhibit this unwavering strength to carry on and however difficult they will survive.

Each day brings something different and challenging but we are still here! Life will be different when we come out of this but I am sure it will re establish this eclectic sence of optimism and it will be better than ever.
