Travel Guide

Are you looking for a new destination to explore? Do you want to discover the hidden gems of a city or a country? If you answered yes, then you might want to check out Google Map’s new feature: Travel Guides.

Travel Guides are curated collections of places that showcase the best of a destination. You can find them by searching for a city or a country on Google Maps, and then tapping on the Explore tab. You will see a list of Travel Guides that cover different themes, such as culture, nature, food, nightlife, and more. You can also create your own Travel Guide by saving places that interest you.

Each Travel Guide contains a brief introduction, a map with pins of the featured places, and a carousel of photos and reviews. You can tap on any place to see more details, such as opening hours, ratings, directions, and contact information. You can also see how busy a place is in real time, and book a reservation or a ticket if available.

Travel Guides are a great way to plan your next trip, or to learn more about a destination you are curious about. You can also share your Travel Guides with your friends and family, and get recommendations from them. With Travel Guides, you can explore the world with Google Maps, and find your next adventure.

Hi @VladanS

I’m not a 100% sure what you are describing. The term “Travel guide” is not used by Google, but you could be referring to the just introduced Captions as described here:

https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/All-About-CAPTIONS/td-p/3675967

and here:

Your text “Each Travel Guide contains a brief introduction, a map with pins of the featured places, and a carousel of photos and reviews.” does not fit the captions, so maybe you are referring to something else. Kindly share a screenshot for clarification.

All the best
