Travel, Food and Fitness in Kenya

One of my favorite activities to do whenever I get the chance is to travel. What have come to be what I love to share the most on google maps are definitely places that I experience through my adventures, especially within my country Kenya which has mostly natural tourist attractions and plenty of wildlife. I have been lucky enough to move around different places and whenever I visit a new town and locality, I like to explore and discover the main attractions, the best food joints and restaurants to have a sumptuous meal and the most preferred local gyms where I can workout to keep up with my fitness regime.

I traveled to a place called Marsabit during the rainy season last year, a place which has a National Park within a forest. My friends and I decided to check it out and take a drive in the park, an experience which turned out to be the most challenging experience driving in a new place. We got stuck countless times in thick mud in the forest with our car almost tipping over at one point all while weary of stray buffaloes showing up while we make our way through the forest canopy. The most beautiful part of the adventure was when we got to the middle of the forest right at sunset and there lay a beautiful lake in the middle of the thick forest just like a paradise. That explains the name of the lake, Lake Paradise.

Kenya has such a diverse array of places to visit which makes it perfect to local and foreign adventurers. Some of the best experiences I have had with nature include beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, wildlife, great natural views and meeting new people and their cultures.

At the end of the travelling day, I love to eat some good local food like Biriani and swahili pilau. The best way I know how to feel good the next day is to also workout. In a new town, I would look for a gym or fitness centre, usually the most interesting ones, and have a workout session. I love to share these on google maps as well as small restaurants that I love suring my short stay, so that others may get to experience them too and spread the word.

There are more places to discover, experience, enjoy and share. Being a google local guide has made me enjoy travel even more as well as discovering places. The experiences have encouraged me to be more interested in facts on new places which in turn makes me learn many things about the places I visit.

I cannot wait for the next adventure!!!
