One thing we travellers can not deny, is that big part of our love to travel to new places ,is to try new cusuines , new dishes…new flavours… it helps create an full image of a place or a city…Turkey for instanse has a diverse cusuine…its varies from part to part…authentic dishes…of Kebab and Mezza to modern and new dishes …are to be discovered…the southern part of turkey relies mostly on dishes made of mutton…while the northen part has many other varieties…
Anatolian kitches is somwhat diffrent from istanbul and so on…not to mention the dessert that is offered in this magical part of the world…every time you will visit a new city in Turkey you will be amazed by the new selection og food…
also turkish ottoman inspired dishes are influnced by many neighbouring cusines like the Lebanese / Seryan/ Egyptian flavours and spices
its worth mentioning here that Spices were first introduced to the Turks in the old days via the Egyptian merchants stopping in Istanbul coming from Asia and India… since then a famous covered market place was established for those merchants in Istanbul, mear Imennono harbour …to show case their spices and herbs, and this market is still there…and a famour tiuristic spot for those who love to shop and delge in aromatic experience.
