Here in Philadelphia when you want to save money or even to make money, there are several place you can get items for free or very small money. We can even resale it and make money from it.
1. Thrift stores
Some best places to find good branded stuff , with price range $1-$5. For the locations browse on Google map : Goodwill store, Salvation army store, Philly Aids thrift. Or type in best thrift store near me.
2. Estate sale
Here we will visiting people’s house that going to move out from their house but didnt want to bring their stuff with them. Usually they only do the sale for 3 days per house. For location you can check out this link https://www.estatesales.net/PA/Philadelphia
3. Garbage day
Once a week the garbage truck will going around to pick up trash and recycling items from houses. Try to found out when is the garbage day pick up in your neighborhoods, you will found many good stuff for free on the sidewalk. From chairs, table, microwave, television, books, etc.
4. Goodwill outlet
The only place I know is in Bellmawr, NJ. This place is different than other thrift store the way they do their bussiness. We will use shopping cart and we fill it up then they will weigh our shopping cart. So the price is by pound.
