Transition Tutorials Index

:pushpin: Having difficulties using the revised Connect? Don’t worry, here is the help you need.

This is the index of the Transition Tutorials.

Summary

With the updated Connect, which was released on October 28, 2024, these tutorials can help you get started quickly. It is intended to assist Local Guides accustomed to using the previous version of Connect. You can learn about exciting new features and how things are now done differently.

Introduction

During the transition period, @AdrianLunsong and @MortenCopenhagen had access to a test version of the new Connect for a few days. Our tests showed that some of the new features and terms and the new structure might need some explaining. Hence we started preparing this set of transition tutorials.

They are certainly work in progress, so only a few of the tutorials are currently ready. You can see which ones below.

You are invited to share comments and suggestions below and under the individual tutorials.

The tutorials might be read from beginning to end. But who actually does that? Alternatively, you might look through the tutorial titles below and read the ones that interest you. To avoid getting lost, it is recommended to read at least #1, #2, and #3. Or maybe the cheatsheet is your thing. However, you could also just create a browser bookmark to this page to quickly get help in the event that you need assistance using the new Connect. Have fun.

Hallo @MortenCopenhagen

Hi @Annaelisa

Thanks for reporting this. I also experience freezes and need to reload to continue. This is certainly not good.

I don’t know if @AngieYC is already aware of this. We may need to document this with screenshots and a short description of actions taken immediately before a freeze. A screen recording would be better but it happens so rarely on my end that I can not reliably reproduce the problem.

This topic is not relevant for the transition tutorials as I expect the problem to be resolved ASAP.

Cheers
Morten

This is the form to use.

I agree that the last page on the form is quite confusing. But I learned that we need to always hit “Submit” or else nothing gets saved.

Hi @MortenCopenhagen & @Annaelisa,

Sharing it on the feedback form is the best choice to ensure it is on our radar.

@AngieYC

:+1::pray:
