Honestly, I rarely use the train because I’m a motorbike rider.
In my home town Sukabumi, just only one train route Bogor-Sukabumi.

As a brother i always check the public transport of my state Delhi, India and i really like the security , safety and accessibility features in Delhi transportation and just like you mentioned about the tickets Delhi metro uses tokens and cards which make it more cheaper and safer.
