Trailing Abindu caves

Trailing Abindu caves

Kenyatta Sports Ground

Achieng’ Oneko Rd, Kisumu, Kenya

February 16, 2019 @ 11:00 (EAT)

INTRO ‘Abindu’ meaning caves in one premise; is located within the hills of Nyahera in Kisumu county, Kenya. The caves are used as holy shrines by locals for worship and also as tourist attraction site. The caves are believed to be the first dwelling place of God considering the mysterious encrypted writings on the inner walls of the caves which no one has ever manage to translate. BIO As Kisumu and western Kenya local guides we believe there is still a lot to be done in order to expose this legendary place to the outside world. We are looking forward to taking several pics + 360 views including making warm & meaningful reviews to help uncover this place. MAIN We shall meet at our usual meeting point; ‘Od Mikayi’ Kenyatta sports ground at 11am for introductions then commence our journey at 11:30am to Nyahera. From town we shall take ‘Kisumu - busia route’ to ‘Daraja mbili -Nyahera route’ then finally take ‘Wachara - Abindu route’. NOTE The total return fare to abindu is approximately KSh. 300 plus an entry fee of Ksh. 100 totaling to Ksh. 400; kindly carry with you at least Ksh. 500 for personal expenses including snacks. You will definitely need water and or energy drinks during the walk. Do not forget to also carry your cameras and power banks; mobile phones preferred. Remember to Keep time…see you around!!!
