‘Abindu’ meaning caves in one premise; is located within Nyahera in Kisumu county, Kenya. The caves are used as holy shrines by locals for worship and also as tourist attraction sites. The caves are believed to be the first dwelling place of God.
We did a geo walk around this place including the neighboring Kisian hills having epic views of the city, we were 3 local guides in total; a lady and two gentlemen. We met in town at Kenyatta sports ground at 11:30am then left for the walk at 12:15pm… We did rock climbing, nature trailing as well as took several amazing pictures of the site, we then ended our walk at 5:30pm on top of Kisian Hills with a photography session before descending down the hills. Here is the link to google photos shared album -Trailing Abindu Caves plus a Video Recap of the walk.
