I’m not receiving credit for trailblazing photos. I’ve posted at least a dozen new photos of places that don’t have any, and the “new photo” section under trailblazer doesn’t register it.

Hi @strongwarrior just to be clear that there were no photos on the place before you put it there and that you’ve waited at least 24 hours for the points to show?

Also, @PaulPavlinovich , I checked, and I’m not receiving credit for Approved Place Creations, as well as a new photo and new review for each. I just added 10 new places in our local area along with a helpful photo and review, but my credit on Trailblazers doesn’t advance.Can you look at this please?
Hi @strongwarrior it can take 24 hours for the trailblazer badges to update. Have the others still not updated?
Can you please PM me a link to your contributions and a link to each business that you think is first.
Just to check are you running the latest version of the Maps App on your device? The current public version on Android is 9.87.0

@PaulPavlinovich , it hasn’t been quite 24 hours, so this may be the issue. I have noticed that the trailblazer reviews HAVE been applied, just not the trailblazer photos or the trailblazer places.
This is my profile:
The new places can be viewed from this general area. They are county parks which sit alongside various lakes in an area called “Many Lakes” near Bigfork, MT.
Here is one of the parks:
@PaulPavlinovich , yes I have confirmed that I’m still not receiving credits on the Trailblazer badge for “New Photos” and “Places” – being the first to post photos and creating a new place.

Yeah, so @PaulPavlinovich , I’m STILL NOT being credited with “First-time Photos” under the Trail-blazer badge.
I’ve taken photographs and posted them to at least a couple dozen places which have NO prior photo, but it doesn’t update, even after 24 hours.
Here is my most recent example:
Hi @strongwarrior I don’t see anything that should stop you getting the trail blazer point for that entry.
I’ve escalated your issue for review.
To help did you add the place and add the photo at the same time, or did you add the photo to an existing place? When you added the photo did you do it from mobile phone or did you do it from PC?

I did create the location. Then maybe a week later visited the location and photographed it with my phone. I used my mobile to post it.

Thank you for escalating the issue for me. I have noticed that I’ve been credited two photos but there are still at least a couple dozen other first time photos that have not been correctly credited to my account. I’m hoping that the team can somehow fix the glitch so that I don’t have to paste a link for each and every new photo that I have been the first one to post.

I have come to conclude that the credits for the “Trailblazer Badge,” specifically with regards to new photos, takes up to 7-10 days to credit to the account. This is a bit dissimilar to other credits. I have credit for most of the new photos I have taken, which I’m happy about.
Hi, I’ve tried several times to create a new place on Google maps, but for some reason, it keeps getting rejected by the system.
I’m wondering if you could take a look at it.
I’m certain the place exists, since I went there yesterday and purchased some ski boots and even posted a photo with the store front.

@strongwarrior there can be a little trick at play when you think you’ve got the first photo but really you don’t. I ran into it myself some time ago. This might be what is affecting you. If multiple people add a place and they go into pending, each of them has likely added a photo or two. Each of them think they’re first but only one of them can be.

Purely to see what happens @strongwarrior I’ve tried to add it with a link to their FB home page and the store hours I picked up from the sign in your photo. I did not use the photo. I can’t see any reason why you should not be able to add it.

I think this one needs escalation @MashaPS could you please check this place out. It certainly seems to be there yet is immediately rejected as not verifiable even though it has a FB page and a store front. Might be some bad data.
