As Cairo, Egypt has almost 20M people so it is a challenge to get to your destination quickly and safely.
unfortunately the Google Map application is not allowing us in Egypt to suggest edits for the streets, traffic signals, or detours while I believe it is mandatory.

Yes, I agree with you, but it’s not only in Egypt. There is many places around the world that Google Maps edits is not allowed.
I believe allowing edit for any one is kinda risky, that’s why it was blocked, cause one edit can leads to too much problems in other’s daily life.
Hope that Google will re-open this option in the soonest, with more moderatored control for trusted users.
