TRADITIONAL VENEZUELAN FOOD AND TRAVEL
I want to start this tour of some places in Venezuela through their meals, we will start with a visit to the east of the country in the Cumaná and Cumanacoa area in the Sucre state; Then I will be touring the western plains in the Acarigua area, in the Portuguese State to complete this culinary journey in the central western area of Barquisimeto in the Lara state.
CUAJA’O DE PEPITONAS (TORTILLA DE OSTRAS)
This delicious and exotic dish is a kind of omelette made with a stew of pepitonas (a kind of local oyster) they are washed, cooked and chopped to later make a stew or prepared which then after cooling the omelette or curd is made ’ or as this dish is usually called, it is accompanied with fried ripe plantains, arepa and rice.

Then, in Cumanacoa, I ate some spectacular Buñuelos de Yuca (Yuca Fritters) whit mela’o (sirop) from sugar cane paper.
Then we went to the area of the western plains in Acarigua, where I had the opportunity to visit a hidden but impressive place, it is a private property of which I can only say that it is a dream for adults and children, as it has nothing more and nothing less than a tree house, all of wood in which you can enjoy and spend a pleasant and fun day, surrounded by a country atmosphere with incredible vegetation.
Then on this trip I got to the central-western area of Venezuela in Barquisimeto, where I had the opportunity to try these delicious dishes and get to know these beautiful places.
