Traditional Sundanese Foodstall

It is become customary visit for our family during weekend to taste the Sundanese traditional foodstall located in Jalan Raya Serpong in the outskirt suburb of of Jakarta. The name of the foodstall is Urang Sunda or loosely translated to ‘Sundanese People’. The foodstall located in the shack in front of the empty shophouse. They serve authentic Sundanese food complete with the various hot chili sambal.

The various food are available from chicken, fish, calamari and classic tempeh and tahu. The food already half cooked for us to choose, the chosen food will be fried and served hot for us to indulge. The common combination is white rice which accompanied by food of our choosing, together with lalaban (fresh traditional salad) and spicy chilli. They called the chilli as sambal jebleh. Jebleh is the extended tongue posture similar to the famous Mick Jagger.

Since the restaurant posted in the Google Maps, various reviews and photos published that greatly helped for their promotion. It is very easy to locate in the Google Maps for direction.
