I hope that you had an awesome new years celebrations around the world. here I am to share some traditional Peruvian appetizers that we actually made last night.
Juane:
The juane is one of the main dishes of the cuisine of the Peruvian jungle. It had its origin in the city of Moyobamba. The juane is made from rice, chicken pieces, botija olives, and cooked eggs; All this is wrapped in bijao leaves and then boiled. The preparation is quick, it takes approximately 45 minutes.
Tacacho:
The tacacho is a traditional Peruvian jungle appetizer, served both for breakfast, for lunch or dinner. To shape this traditional flavor of Peru, it is necessary to prepare the green banana dough with pork, salt, and butter.
Native potatoes:
Peru has an incredible variety of potatoes, but the native ones are used for cocktails, and events of any kind. To make them look great, they were seasoned with butter, oregano, and salt.
wow, yummy post… those appetizers looks so delicious, nice to see those local creations. I would love to try them as I’m a food lover, especially local food and I’m really intrigued by the Juane photo :-).
