Traditional bakery making wheat biscuits for Home consumption

I have been visiting this Local bakery inside the tight old street on the village near our old residence.

My mother will weigh 1 kg wheat flour, 1 kilo sugar powder, Ghee (Clarified butter) and sometimes Custard powder to add flavour to the biscuits.

My parents don’t rely nor they like to eat the modern biscuits/cookies we get from Markets and have been consuming these traditional way of making biscuits from 3-4 decades.

I generally you to accompany my mother, whenever I am at my hometown to visit parents.

This time I got this opportunity to visit this bakery again.

The bakery people make biscuits, patties/Puff stuffed with Potato and spices, Buns and many more basic things for wholesale to market.

People customize the biscuits/cookies as per their choice of sugar/salt, flavoured, thicker or crispness.

with modern times, our fast moving lifes - we have left these small gems get lost in the time of technology, modernisation - these simple yet traditional places need to be preserved and kept alive.
