TRAC 2025, Soon under the Captain's Lens

Dear TRAC enthusiast,
Dear friends,

TRAC 2025 Campaign is really close to its end, and what a journey it’s been. Over the past three months, we’ve worked hard, side by side, across three incredible teams RUNNERS, MASTERS and SEEKERS, focused on one goal: adding new roads on the Google Maps, literally!

Together, we’ve built something real.
Every road added, every correction made, every kilometer reviewed has moved this project forward. And now, we’re in the final rush. There are still 12 days. Just 12.

We’ve already achieved a lot, but let’s try to hit a rounded number: 150.000 new roads added to Google Maps.
That’s not just a number; it’s real impact. Real roads. Real people finding their way because of what we’ve done. We could have speed up emergency vehicles.

Captain @SholaIB will soon speak on the results and the road ahead. We’re all excited to hear the bigger picture from the top, from the man who had this vision: TRAC !
But right now, we still have time to push. One last push. The final rush.

So let’s stay sharp. Keep the momentum. Help each other. Share tips. Keep communication tight. And above all, stay focused on the mission.
This campaign isn’t just about data; it’s about collaboration, determination, and execution.

We’ve come this far because everyone brought their best.
Let’s finish the same way. Let’s break that 150k barrier.

Let’s try… and let’s win!

Take care and enjoy.
Marco

150k roads added is not a bad idea, but I don’t know if it’s realistic. For more than a week or two, none of the roads I have added have been accepted - they all have pending status. And I’m not talking about new locations, but places where I previously had many newly added roads accepted.

Good idea but does anyone know what determines Google’s cycle of approvals. My numbers are small compared to some others, but even when I draw roads almost every day, there are long periods just waiting for Google’s approval emails. It is quite possible to end this campaign on May 31st and then a set of roads get approved on June 2nd or June 4th. If I remember correctly, that happened to me at the end of last year’s TRAC campaign.

Hello @tony_b , Hello @new.user ,

I do agree that reaching 150K new roads during our TRAC 2025 Campaign can be really difficult. Three months are a long period but, in my opinion, correct… but long. Like in 2023 and 2024 in these last weeks we are facing a general slowdown (we all are tired and not only) but could be nice if we can do a last effort so that our Captain @SholaIB could write a nicer rounded number.

Like you, @new.user , I can not see any approval since 6 days despite I add circa 200 roads everyday. I just got “submission mails” but no approvals. This is not nice.!

And, dear @tony_b , this happens since 2023 but, I’m sure, always existed but we were not aware of it. I know that CMOD’s has reported many times but I’m not waiting / looking for an answer.

The end will be the 31 of May but I’ll send the figures (I’ll collect them) on the 2nd of June in the early morning.

Now let’s wait and see what the TRAC TEAM can achieve.

Take care
Marco

Ciao @NareshDarji ,
thanks for the support. Together we can do it… if Big G will decide to release all our submitted edits we did in these days.
Now are 6 days with NO approval :sob:
