As you know, March 1st marked the official launch of our new activity: TRAC 2025!
Our goal is ambitious: to enrich Google Maps with new roads, where automated systems and AI struggle to reach.
Thanks to the valuable contribution of Local Guides from every corner of the globe, we are filling these gaps manually, with passion, hard work and precision. To ensure a common reference, we have chosen Rome time zone as the standard for data collection.
Well, last night we released the starting data… and this morning, just 8 hours later, we were blown away! An incredible result of 6142 new roads added !
This is just the beginning of TRAC 2025
We still have 92 days ahead of us and we can’t wait to discover what other fantastic surprises this extraordinary group has in store for us.
A heartfelt thank you to all of you for your enthusiasm and commitment! Let’s keep up the great work!
That’s really amazing @MarcoDavoli. 6142 new roads already added and the first day of this campaign is already in progress. What an icredible team TRAC is!
This time all participants Raising their Bar Higher. Good positive sign indeed!
Wow, Ciao @MarcoDavoli , 6,142 new roads in just the first day. That’s amazing. Our TRAC team is doing incredible work. I’m so proud of our team contributions.
Congratulations to everyone
Thanks for this information @MarcoDavoli. Last night at about 3 hours before midnight I wondered which timezone we would be using, but I didn’t remember to post the question.
So now I know we’re 5 hours apart. Barbados 8:44am and Rome already 1:44pm today.
Ciao @tony_b ,
at the end, after years of experience, we understood that the only way to have “good figures” was to decide when take them and who will do and where (country).
Updates (figures) are not arriving at the same time in each country.
Now I take figures of all members during the day (usually in the morning) and then I’m creating Charts.
