Tr to edit my place, Is this a Bug?

This location is my own home, and still being renovated for my bussiness activity

I have try to suggest an edit, to correct my mailing address because what is written does not match what I entered when registering, and will not be reached by the postal service (of course I know my exact mailing address)

Here is the screenshot of my edit:

and this is Google Maps response after I submit the suggested changes (You can see the difference with previous address):

And then I received an email notification that my changes have been approved and published. But the mailing address remains the same as before the proposed change, and instead the address I recommend becomes the same as the previous address. Check this out:

I have tried several times, but the results remain the same

I have made a business claim, maybe after I claim the business then I can edit myself. But my business claim is not valid if I haven’t verified it based on the postcard sent to my location address. And I’m sure that postcards will never arrive :disappointed_relieved:

Is this a bug?

please help

Addresses on Maps are phyical addresses not mailing addresses. They are often different.

It is not valid to put private places onto Maps. I recommend taking a look at the User Contributed Content Policy.

Hi @sofyanthayf

There are a few issues at play here.

First, homes should not be on Google Maps. You should wait until your business is open for business with staff and opening hours etc.

Support to businesses is provided from here and here. This forum is for Local guides only.

The reason your edit is not approved could be related to the issues currently related to the virus problems. You can read more about this at:

It could also be related to you making too many edits to the place so you thereby triggered the spam protection.

So claiming the place (with a less “homey”-name) would be the best way forward. Maybe Google already teamed up with new trusted partners in your area. If so, they might be quicker to help you get verified. See My Business Provider for more info.

I hope some of this is helpful for you.

Cheers

Hi @sofyanthayf

I corrected the link in my answer. Please take note. But I’m afraid it is still too new to be helpful for you.

Cheers
