Along the stretch of beautiful river is Toyosawa. There’s lots of fishing in these waters as they are abundant with a fish called “Ayu” or sweetfish! It’s related to the smelt fish and is perfect for cooking.
Rivers are not only for fishing but also for drinking fresh pressed nicely chilled sake in the cool of the evening. After dinner and a long hot bath, relaxing on the veranda and hearing the sounds of Toyosawa river and cicadas singing in the evening is a perfect blend of nature.
No summer in Japan would be complete without taking it slow near a river as the sun sets and then the gentle breeze sets in and the alcohol starts to take affect, like a healing balm after I nice sweat.
Hi @user_not_found ,very nice photos Great combination between nature and the Japanese osake Thanks for sharing with us! My friend told me that is very hot now in Japan, so for sure near the river is much better.
@user_not_found Great for sharing this nice post here. I knew that Japanese rivers are short and small. But I did not think they can be like this. Very shallow. But the beauties of Japanese rivers are really very attractive. I love them very much. I can imagine the sound of the flowing water of those rivers. Thanks.
@MukulR Thank you for your comment. In my experience, rivers in Japan are both big and small and blend well with the natural landscape. Have you visited Japan before?
@user_not_found No, I have never been to Japan. But I am studying " Japanese Studies" at the University of Dhaka. So I am studying about Japan. In our country, Bangladesh, we have a lot of rivers which are several hundred miles long. And they differ from those of Japanese rivers in nature and characteristics. That’s why I am very much curious to know about the rivers of Japan. Thanks a lot for your post.
