Hi, I am Joy! A local guide from Kenya!
I have always loved to travel but traveling is expensive, especially if you come from the developing world. However, in the recent past, my job has been able to afford me the “luxury” of traveling in my country during my field world. I love road trips and long distance drives. Going for our field work allows us to spend up to 7 hours on the road and this has been truly enriching. Kenya is blessed to have plenty of wild spaces, farms and plantations, villages and cities. All these can be seen in one road trip! The greeneryin Western Kenya and the arid areas of the North down to prisitne beaches along the Kenyan coast are great places to see and visit and I love sharing these on Google Maps and Local Guides.
Of course, we have plenty of wildlife. Lions in the city, Pangolins in the West, Rare Fish in the Ocean and the Grevys Zebras in the North all make up our rich wildlife heritage. I hope you will keep looking out for my pictures and videos!
