I love visiting new places, and 9 times out 10 I google map the location before visiting. Recently I’ve taken to bringing the camera with me just out and around my own small town on daily adventures. I’ve hit some trails, tried some local spirits, and visited some local vendors and take photos all along the way. Bringing my photography skillset and sharing these photos on google maps helps when people visit my town and see images they’re attracted to. They’re more likely to visit a vendor or locations if the photos are nice and paint an accurate expectation for them. So in that sense, I feel like I’m helping my neighbours and friends in this small town my amplifying their great spaces and products with my photography and reviews.
