Totally spam lists have been featured over the city!

Hi,

Beside some good lists, large number of some totally spam lists those aren’t list of places in same category but are name of the products of a company, have been featured over the city Tehran and this shows a messed map to people who check featured lists of the city and when we open a list in this city, by tapping other lists suggestion at the bottom of the list, we see all these spam/personal lists!

These are spam lists:

First I wonder how these clear spam lists with messed descriptions got featured by system? Then how such a large number of lists of one user have been featured?

I ask Googlers to remove these lists at least from the featured lists over the area of Tehran, please. I reported some of these lists some weeks ago (by general send feedback option) but still no action.

Thanks for reporting this. It sounds serious.

It is a bit surprising since featured lists are no longer to be found in many other regions.

This is a strange case and needs action.

Featured lists don’t have special section over the areas anymore, but still can be found by browsing community feed in the explore tab.

Also I described details, when we open any list in a city, at the end of the list, there is a section that shows some featured lists and more button, if there is any more featured lists.

Alot of wrong things featured on the maps these days like wrong photos and you complain and Google seem not to mind you or don’t feel the urgent need to do something about it. I have reported some profile ls and photos in my area last week or so and it’s still on till date!

Well this is quite serious and we hope they’ll escalate the matter.

I understand how it is frustrating when our correct reports have no results but on the other hand I know we’re not only users who are reporting things. There are thousands of reports every day and it is hard for limited team to investigate all, so for some cases like wrong photos they prepared specific report option and AI will check the reports and even some few weeks is normal. But as @JanVanHaver also mentioned in new episod of Let’s Guide podcast we need improvements of AI.

From another view, even in current conditions Google has the tool in hand to do things faster but some bureaucracy and pre-defined steps prevent from this. I hope we see good changes in this part, too that helps in-maps reports get faster results.

In this case, since there is no special option to report lists, and my general feedback wasn’t effective after some weeks, and also these spam lists are visible for many people, I see it is good to report here.

Connect and Maps Forum are last chances to get result for our reports and specially on Connect Googlers help a lot.

That’s exactly the problem,having the technology or tool and not wanting to use it to hasten up things. We as local guides do our best to get things done on the maps. Even if it means spending a bit more or going some few xtra mile. Google can help us or do same for us if possible.
