Total views now updated more frequently

Hi friends,

There are often Local Guides reporting their contribution statistics are not getting updated as they expected.

Normally, the totals only get updated once or sometimes twice a week. But over the past 6 days, I have noticed a huge improvement. So today I went to the automated contribution stats found at https://lgstats.xyz/guide?uid=116647701492246965139 to check. When showing the total photo views for my profile I get this graph:

As you can see, the photo views total was updated on October 11, 12, 14, and 15, and from my profile, I know that another update was made earlier today (not yet included in the graph). So from October 11th - 16th 2022, the totals were updated each and every day except on October 13th. This is a colossal improvement. Thanks, Google.

I will keep an eye on it and share any updates in the comments below. It can be that things go back to normal, hopefully, they will not. Fingers crossed.

This also affects the points totals.

That’s interesting and nice to see total views get updated more frequently.

In fact, just learned something new from you. I always thought the views were updated in real-time, but now I see it may take a couple of days or even faster as you pointed out. This is a great find @MortenCopenhagen

It is worth mentioning that the views on individual photos are updated in almost realtime. This post is on the summarized totals.

On October 17th there was no update, but one happened on the 18th.
