I’m a fellow local guide that has just joined this forum. Last year, after being away for 9 years, I decided to immigrate to Canada with my wife. So we’re current at Toronto. To my shock and surprise, the amount of trash littering and dumping in Toronto has exponentially grown. Never seen so much trash in the streets previously. I usually like to take long walk from home to my work place, etc. Now the amount of trash that I usually see in the streets almost ruins my the sense of joy that I could get from the walking.
What’s your advice for raising awareness? What can be done in the context of google local guides to fight this huge problem?
Hi @ariangh “Welcome to Connect! If this is your first visit, you’ve come to the right place. This is the first of the information that you will find in “Your guide to Connect” , the introductory Guide of the community. In there you will find all the necessary information to know how to better contribute in here.
I am sorry about what you are reporting, it makes me sad. But to respond to your question, have you heard about #LocalGuidesCleanTheWorld ?
The scope of the movement is not only to clean a place, but overall to create, with our actions, awareness about the issue.
