Toronto Series: Meadowvale Village

Toronto is the largest city in Canada where small villages were gobbled up over time. In the west end lies Mississauga, one of the numerous suburban cities that makes up the Greater Toronto Area, consumed small towns such as Clarkson, Malton, Streetsville, and Port Credit. One of the preserved old villages in Mississauga is Meadowvale Village, located on the banks of the Credit River to take advantage of hydro power.

Despite modern subdivisions surrounding Meadowvale Village, original buildings are still present, such as the old mechanic garage, small two-storey buildings, what looks like an old hotel or inn, and period homes.

If you have some time and want to visit an old historic village then I would advise exploring Meadowvale Village.
