What usually I do is.
At the point of interest, take several photos and videos.
Ensure that I my smartphone show Google Maps position exactly as the real life position.
Add this place, with as much detail as I can then add front view with the billboard or marking with the same name of the name that I add on Google Maps.
Waiting the notification that place that I add is approved.
After that I do give rating, add some reviews and upload photos and videos.
