我从小就看”Harry Potter”(哈利波特)、“The Lord of the Rings”(指环王)、”Pirates of the Caribbean”(加勒比海盗)和 “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider“(劳拉·克罗夫特:古墓丽影)。

Very cool @TsekoV ! The only thing I can think of right now is the Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. This place is considered one of the most busiest (if not the most) crossings in the world, and have been featured in so many movies. The one I can think right now is Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. You can actually easily spot the soccer field in the movie as well. I always try to make some time to visit Shibuya whenever I’m in Tokyo.

Amazing storytelling there @TsekoV In English as I read, you said Taprun twice (I don’t know if that is because of the translation) but we call them Taprum or Tapromh. It is amazing and I have written few articles which included this temple as well. You can read them here, here, and here I took these photos recently within this year!

Hey @iyudhi ,

This place is really quite famous and is one of the things I imagine when thinking of Tokyo and Japan. It must be really exciting to be there and enjoy a nice time in Tokyo. How many times have you been there?

I also remember one more place that I visited and which I saw in a movie. The name of the movie is Avatar and there is a location in China - famous as Avatar mountains where the creators of the movie got inspired by the pinnacles in the mountain. The official name of the park is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Have you ever heard of this place?

I admire your adventurous spirit, @Sophia_Cambodia ! I am so happy to have the chance of visiting this ancient temple.

One of the things I was most surprised about were the giant banyan trees and the stories tour guides would tell about them - where they appeared from, life expectancy and more.

Do you know if the temple was fully discovered or are there still some unknown places to be discovered in the area?

Hey @user_not_found ,

I am looking forward to hearing you story then.

Thank you dear @TsekoV locals are also like people from overseas, they are most likely to visit those famous temples.

I myself, have been visiting about 50 temples around Cambodia but there are still temple hidden in the jungle, especially on Phnom Kulen and Koh Ker temple areas. I still have some in my list which I will visit in the future!

It is really adventurous to try and discover hidden temples, @Sophia_Cambodia . I remember my Cambodian friend told me that there are many temples hidden deep in the jungle.

I just got curious, aren’t these jungles populated by many wild animals such as tigers, etc? I would also be quite dangerous to go there alone.

Of course, there are @TsekoV if you watch “Two brothers” you can imagine wild animals living in the Cambodian temples (when people abandoned those cities behind because of the wars) but I don’t think there are anything like that anymore since people explore and vacate many places. What I mean hidden because plants dominated on those ruins and people cannot see them - no document about those temples as well. They found out only when they go to the jungle for fruits/animals and they met those ruins.

P.S. tiger has been announced as extinct from Cambodia by the experts several years ago.

@TsekoV Before Covid, I visit Tokyo 1-2 times per year during my layover back home for the past 7 years or so, so I’d visit Shibuya at least once a year since then. I like to just go to the area and walk around.

Never heard about the park though. I did watch Avatar long time ago, but couldn’t recall what the story is about anymore :slightly_smiling_face:

I just bumped into this post and how I love to see this spot as I have visited Angkor Wat back in 2012 @TsekoV … I did imagine Lara Croft jumping from one trees to another hehehe. I have visited many spots from the movies as well, particularly when I lived in NYC. The famous spots for Home Alone, Serendipity, Men In Black, When Harry Met Sally, Spiderman, King kong, Friends, and many more have been in my ticked list. You know what… I went to St. Vincent & the Grenadines as well to see the movie set of the first Pirates of the Caribbean back i n 2017! well, I guess I am a movie buff LOL

Wow! This is real enthusiasm, @indahnuria ! You’ve been to so many places and you’ve seen so many movie spots.

I really enjoy watching Pirates of the Caribbean and I would be more than happy to have the chance to visit any of the places they filmed the movie.
