You have volunteer yourself to become Local Guide so there is no direct cash benefits but you get satisfaction for helping others. And sometimes, Google offers perks to Local Guide for limited period, which is indirect benefit.
If you join Google’s Street View App and publish 50 Approved 360° photos on it, your name will be listed Street View as Street View Trusted Photographer and then you can earn money for 360° photos.
