1. Giraffe center.

Giraffe Center is located in Langata , just outside Nairobi.The center has been ostensibly set up as a breeding center for the endangered Rothschild giraffe, but now operates conservation/education programs for Kenyan school children.There is good information on giraffes available here, and an elevated feeding platform where visitors meet the resident giraffes face to face.Hand feeding giraffes is an education in itself. You will see, close at hand, how they use their long, prehensile tongues to remove leaves from prickly acacia branches.

2.David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is an Elephant Nursery in Nairobi National Park provides a safe haven to orphaned baby elephants rescued by the Trust. The Nursery provides the first stage in the hand-rearing and development of milk dependent baby elephants. Once they graduate from the Nursery, aged 2-3 years, the elephants move to one of the Trusts Reintegration Centers in Tsavo East National Park, from where they will ultimately return to the wild.

3. Nairobi National Museum,

This is a one stop for visitors to sample Kenya’s rich heritage, both for education and leisure. It is located at the Museum Hill – a few minutes drive from Nairobi Central District. Nairobi National Museum houses a collection of Kenya’s history, nature, culture and contemporary art.The artworks and materials used in the fabrication of outdoor sculptures, the landscaping and the botanic gardens, are linked to the four pillars of Kenya’s national heritage – i.e. nature, culture, history and contemporary art. The museum is also known as a unique events venue, for the appreciation of Kenya’s heritage. Additionally, visitors are treated to a variety of shopping and dining facilities, as well as botanical gardens that offer a serene environment.

4.Karen Blixen Museum

Built in 1912, Karen Blixen Museum was home to Danish Author, poet and Artist- Karen Blixen. Made famous by the Oscar Award winning film ‘Out of Africa’, based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title, the then farmhouse was established as a museum in 1986 by the National Museums of Kenya.

5.Kenyatta International Convention Center Rooftop.

Kenyatta International Convention Center is the symbol of Nairobi, the most famous landmark and reference used to find your way back to the city center. The KICC rooftop offers the most epic view of the entire city.The viewing room is on top 27 floor. Once up you need to climb additional stairs to 28th floor and then go up spiraling stairs to the roof top to get 360 view of the city.
