Laguna is a neighboring province to the National Capital Region of the Philippines, the Metro Manila. The location of Laguna is very ideal for people who want to try different adventures out of the normal life that they have in the busy cities (Well, we also have big cities anyway). Laguna offers a different variety of places to go to. It is very historical, for the province itself is the hometown of the country’s national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Laguna also has parts in the north which is being developed to be the next industrial and business centers aside from the busy and crowded Manila and Makati. Sta Rosa City which is home for Nuvali and Solenad can give you a wide range of shops that will offer you whatever you’re desiring to buy (in a good way). For an introduction, I think this is a little bit too much so I should probably have to go straight to my main objective which is to give you my top 3 reasons to visit Laguna with a local guide.
- It’s nice to have a drink in the lake with a buddy!
-The town of Nagcarlan and the City of San Pablo have 7 lakes combined in total. One of the most famous is the Yambo lake which is being shared by Rizal, Nagcarlan and San Pablo area. In here, you might wanna try rafting and drinking in the middle of the lake, you are allowed to bring your own food as well as alcohol and wireless sound system. you are also free to swim as much as you want! How exciting does it sound?
- Mountain climbing is challenging but you need a guide
-Laguna offers several mountains climb, the most famous one is Mount Makiling in the Science City of Los Banos. At the foot of Mount Makiling, there is a Museum of Natural History located within the vicinity of UPLB, together with that is a Botanical Garden. Along the way to the peak of Mount Makiling is a mud spring and a river. This is pure adventure that you wouldn’t wanna miss!
- Shopping in a green city is a big thing!
-Nuvali and Solenad are 2 perfect places to go for your regular and holiday shopping. Both of which are offering a wide variety of shops that will surely tickle your preppy self. I go to these places often because even though it’s a huge mall, it is still very environmentally friendly and you will see a lot of greens around. it is very relaxing fun to roam around.
Now that I’ve given you my top 3 reasons to visit Laguna with a local guide, what are you waiting for?
