If you want to learn about or share your own photo views achievements then you’ve come to the right place because this post is all about photo views! It follows on from the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards of February, 2021 post and contains a set of leaderboards that examine the performance of the photo contributions on Google Maps of participating Local Guides like yourself. Yes you can also participate and you don’t have to be a “top gun” Level10 Local Guide with mega MILLION views to join in because the leaderboards have been specifically designed so that Local Guides at any level can participate, and you’ll see many proudly do. So whether you are an entry level Local Guide or from a small town or village, or a top level Local Guide from New York, Paris or New Delhi, you can have a go and it’s really simply to join in, just submit this simple form! To find out more, read the following:
Conclusion:
This post looks at the overall performance of all of your photos. Another interesting post is the Leaderboards of the Top 100 Most Viewed Photos post which, for each participant, looks at the performance of one photo, the most viewed photo which I call our “star photo”. If you haven’t already done so then check it out, there’s interesting things to learn about our most viewed photos!
The leaderboard posts are more than just seeing who has the best photos or the most photo views. Being able to look at our photo performance in different ways as well as in relative terms to that of other Local Guides and our peers in a fun and friendly way, I see posts like these as a way of showing us how we can improve our personal contributions, improve the quality of being a Local Guide, and thus leading to better information on Google Maps; it’s a win-win-win. If it were not for Connect it would be very difficult if not impossible to do this. Connect gives us the opportunity to connect and engage with each other on posts like this.
I’m looking forward to seeing you on the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards.
If you are listed on the table below you have submitted the entry form and will be added on to the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards during the next update in early April. However, it’s up to you to make sure that you have read and understand the instructions mentioned in this post so that don’t end up in the Broken hearts club! In particular, I refer you once again to the Structure of the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards and the Snakes & Ladders. I look forward to seeing you on the leaderboards.

8(b) - Overflow of Top 100 participating Local Guides ranked in Average Views per Photo order (March, 2021)
The Local Guides listed in the subsidiary table below did not make it onto the above leaderboard of Top 100 Photo Views in Avg Views per Photo order because there is only room for 100 on that leaderboard. As can be seen there’s a mix of different reasons why. Six just didn’t cut the mustard when it comes to photo views and have just fallen off the average views per photo leaderboard. Others are in the Broken Heart Club and because of this have zero photo views and average views per photo values. If you’re in that club then if you do not take the necessary action to fix your broken heart by the next update you will drop off the leaderboards completely!
9(a) - Top 100 participating Local Guides ranked in Average Views per Day order (March, 2021)
The leaderboard below shows the Photo Views and both the views and Average Views per Day since the last update on 2 February 2021 of all participating Local Guides as at 4 March, 2021. When reading this leaderboard these explanatory notes may be helpful and for a more detailed description on the Structure of the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards click here.
9(b) - Overflow of Top 100 participating Local Guides ranked in Average Views per Day order (March, 2021)
The following Local Guides did not make it onto the above leaderboard of Top 100 Photo Views in Avg Views per Day order because there is only room for 100 on that leaderboard. However, as can be seen most of these Local Guides are new participants in the TOp 100 Photo Views Leaderboards and thus, as explained in Note 6 of the Explanatory Notes they do not have values for views since 2 February, 2021 and average views per day. I decided to place these Local Guides in this subsidiary table as most will have values on the next update and some are very likely to jump onto the main lleadaerboard above! Those in the Broken Heart Club that do not take the necessary action to fix their broken hearts by the next update will drop off completely!
10(a) - Top 100 participating Local Guides ranked in % Change photo views order (March, 2021)
The leaderboard below shows the Photo Views and both the views and % Change in views since the last update on 2 February 2021 of all participating Local Guides as at 4 March, 2021. When reading this leaderboard these explanatory notes may be helpful and for a more detailed description on the Structure of the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards click here.
11(a) - Top 100 Overall Ranking of the Photo Views of participating Local Guides (March, 2021)
Taking all the variables used in the previous 10 leaderboards, the leaderboard below which I like to think of as being the “Decathlon Photo Views Leaderboard” (decathlon leaderboard for short), shows the overall ranking of the photo views of the Top 100 participating Local Guides as at 4 March, 2021. When reading this leaderboard these explanatory notes may be helpful and for a more detailed description on the Structure of the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards click here.
I am sorry for the delay in posting the Top 100 Photo Views Leaderboards for March. Unfortunately things didn’t work out to plan as there was quite a lot of work behind the scenes to get all the data for the increased number of participants and extra time lost because of and the need to double check the data for the number of Local Guides that ended up in the ‘Broken Hearts Club’. It seems that the amount of work increases exponentially with the increase in the number of Local Guides participating. By approximately 1:47 AM on 5 March, 2021 (AEDT) I had all the ‘available’ photo views data in my spreadsheets and all the necessary calculations completed. The next major task was to create the actual leaderboard tables which I had started but around 3:30 AM I was being shown the doghouse. Anyway, back in the good books I’ve now started and hope to very soon complete posting at least most of the leaderboards. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
As predicted, we’ve had our first major rumble and tumble on the leaderboards. This and the associated fun will no doubt continue. Further commentary will follow shortly and then I look forward to engaging with you all. In the meantime, if you haven’t already done so then please, please, please submit this form as I need two pieces of information from you that will make my job a lot easier
The Broken Hearts Club

As you will appreciate, a lot of statistics and numbers can make a post like this very boring so I am trying to think of ways on how to make it a bit more light-hearted, fun and interesting and I just knew that even though you don’t have a broken heart @katydarhel , and you of all participants have read all the documentation and instructions, you would appreciate the intended humor side of the latest feature image. I plan to introduce more of this in the future so Katy you just might appear again in some other scenario
Well, you are right @AdamGT that the daily routine should be diluted with some funny moments , humor and something unexpected . You were absolutely right that I would read the text of the illustration and notice my name. There was one more tip for me, it is the sixth level of the local guide. And I will be glad to appear somewhere else. I wish you to cope with voluminous work without any hassle. And I’m really looking forward to the results of the tables .
