The Top 100 Local Guides Points leaderboards post is where you can share your Google Maps points achievements with fellow Local Guides and you don’t have to be a “top gun” Level 10 Local Guide with millions of points to participate! The leaderboards have been specifically designed so as to create a bit of a level playing field so that Local Guides at any level can join in and yes, you can too. It’s simple to do!! Who’s next to be added?

The table below lists the Local Guides that have submitted their entry form to participate in the Top 100 Points leaderboards. The following explains this table:

1. Because these leaderboards are created and being maintained manually, after you submit your participation form it can take up to 48 hours before you are added to the “Who’s next to be added” table below. It’s a good idea to note the date and time when you submit your entry and if it’s after the last date that this table was updated (see the date below the table) then just wait until it is updated. If however you submitted your entry before the date that this table was updated then let me know by way of adding a comment on this post because perhaps I omitted to add you.
2. On first seeing your name on this table you will know that your entry form has been received andchecked. If there are any issues you will see an against your name and a note for your attention. Your points data will not be added to the leaderboards until you fix up any issues. Add a comment on this post when you have fixed the issue(s) and I will update the table.
3. Once all issues are cleared you will see an against your name indicating that you are ready to be added during the next update of the leaderboards. For more details see the leaderboard documentation.

The leaderboard below shows a ranking of the top 100 participating Local Guides by points as at 12 January, 2022 and follows on from the previous equivalent leaderboard of 1 December, 2021. Briefly this is what you need to know about this and each of the following leaderboards in this post. For more details see the leaderboard documentation:

1. Local Guides included in the leaderboards must check their entries for any errors.
2. around sequence numbers indicate that this is the first time that the Local Guide has participated on the Top 100 leaderboards.
3. An asterisk (*) shown after a Connect Username indicates that that Local Guide is a Connect Moderator.
4. Double asterisks (**) shown after a Connect Username indicates that that Local Guide is a Googler.
5. Selecting any of the Connect Usernames will take you to that Local Guide’s Connect Profile.

Congratulations to all those that have jumped up a level ( @PennyChristie and @Cercis just to name a couple) and what a great way to start the New Year! Also, congratulations to all the new participants and especially to @eltiojulio our first Level 4 Local Guide. Well done for jumping in. In my humble opinion, that’s a great way to learn how to become a better Local Guide and I’m sure that my fellow Local Guides will cheer you on.

As usual, each participating Local Guide needs to check there data and a special mention to:

1. @kessc for a Level 10 Local Guide your total points can’t be right…perhaps you didn’t update
2. @amandhayal you have entered an incorrect Connect User-ID
3. @DALELK you have entered 5 as your Local Guide level but you are a Level 10. You have also entered wrong values for your Points, No of Photos, Photo Views and No of Reviews etc etc etc
4. @anandbc1983 you have changed your Connect Username but haven’t updated your data form

I cannot correct these errors on your form so please, please, please revisit your data entry form and correct these errors. As well as adding extra time and effort on my part, these errors muck up the leaderboards

Also note that when you leave a message or reply to someone it’s a good idea that you properly tag them so that they will get a notification of your message otherwise they may never know about or see your message. To tag someone, first type @ then type the first few characters of their name until you see their name in the dropdown list. Finally, select the person’s name. You will see that I tagged you at the start of this message to you. Many think that this is done automatically when you reply to someone but it is not.

Yes finally the first set of 2022 leaderboards are out @AjitThite . I have been trying to publish all the leaderboards for over a week now however with the festive and holidays season, and with family visiting from overseas, I have only had the chance to work on them on an hour here and an hour there basis and then doing this with the form is really painful Taking data from the form and spreadsheet and then extracting the different information for the different leaderboards and finally turning them into tables and creating the Connect posts is a military exercise Anyway thanks to everyone for their patience and thank you Ajit for your encouragement.
