to review or not to review? this is the question.

And so you’ve made it. After hours of exhausting traveling, endless waiting time and all the check-

ins, here you are, sitting in your hotel room with only one desire - food!
Of course you can go just around the corner and grab something to eat, it’s 21st century after all,

places are popping everywhere like mushrooms, but who needs that when you have such a variety of

cuisines, so many interesting venues to visit with different atmospheres, special needs, favorite food

after all!
In a world with such a high competition it’s all about choices. But how do you make one in a town you

barely know? It can get fairly overwhelming indeed.

In an era of internet, social media and youtube when information is available to everyone in a matter

of seconds, traditional ads and product placement are just not as effective as they used to be. People

nowadays seek for personal recommendations, they wanna hear out real people with real experiences and

this is when being a Local Guide puts it all together. For me, personally, Google is both, the go to

place to look for recommendations myself, and as well the place where I can share my own opinions too.

So I though I’d share with you my view on what it takes to write a good review, based on my own

experiences.
I think one gotta be observant, consistent…but most importantly, you need to earn other’s readers

trust. So how do you do this exactly?
Well, I genuinely believe that this is to be achieved only by being objective. By sharing the goods but

also pointing to the “not so goods” you will hopefully help other readers make an informed choice -

this is an obvious one. But on top of that, by sharing your constructive critique in a friendly and

polite way, you’d allow others improve - the service, the clients experiences and the business

eventually. So to me, this approach is an overall win-win, but this is only my take on it. What’s

yours?
