Hello , My village boundary location and name on Google was incorrect . The boundary of my village is not accurate. Due to this , Orders i have placed and location issue errors are raising. How to fix that location and boarder line problem of my village
It’s sad to know that you are losing orders because of the wrong village boundary.
It would be worthwhile to know what exactly happens on the placement of orders and how the things go wrong.
Nevertheless, you have to report the data problem through the “send feedback”, “your opinion about Maps” option, along with a screenshot.
Further, it would be useful to provide some precise information about the correct village boundary in the official records. Possibly the maps issued by local government authorities can be used to prove that.
Not only orders , But even using any app or other location apps . The location only shows beside neighbouring village location. Except my village. Only the name and boarder shows in google map but but there was a lack of proper village location.
There was national highway 16 passing through my village. But there was a location of another village which was 12 kilometers far way from my village. There was a land belongs to my village in other side of that national highway 16. But , there was no boarder line covering that opposite side of Highway. This was also a big problem. Due to this case many orders i have placed have gone to another village due to incorrect drawing if boarder line.
How google maps can draw such incorrect boarders lines which covers other village irrespective of the particular village.
I have informed several times in Send feed back option in google by providing screen shot by rounding the area with yellow boarder line. But still that wrong location was providing by google map . What can I do rather than this.
Hello @C_T see how the neighbouring village boarder was interacted with my village. This present boarders are not even belongs to one Panchayat. They are sperate village panchayaths , but interacting incorrectly
My advice, for this kind of issues related to the Base Map, is to report directly to the Google Maps Help Community , because they are focused on Maps , while Connect is addressed to our Local Guides experience. This will help to fix the issue faster
Hello , sir @ErmesT i have posted about this issue in Google map community . But there was no edit in google map . There was reply , that to post in local guides connect and they make a change. So , I’ve posted here the issue. you please tell me a process to rectify this problem.
Best way in my opinion is to go through Google Maps Community. @user_not_found
Best thing to do is to provide them some official (administrative) document to help them to verify the situation. In any case it will take a lot of time to fix boundaries.
For some better indication I am tagging @Flash , that is the most appropriate person to check this matter
Hello sir , @ErmesT , Administrative (Government) documents like , Indian ardhar card, voter id saying that I’m belonging to that village . Should be posted ?
What are the administrative documents mean. I’ve only voter id , Indian Adhar card which are the proofs that says I’m belonging to jarjangi village . Is that enough to submit the admistrative documents.
I don’t mean your own documents. I mean public documents to demonstrate what you say. When I had a similar issue about an area close to mine, I shared to Google Maps Community an official document from the local administration where the boundaries where clearly indicated
I just wanted to let you know that I am moving your post to our How-tos board, where Local Guides ask such questions and express their doubts related to the program. I am also accepting @ErmesT 's last comment as a solution, since I believe this is the right thing to do.
@user_not_found@Ok mam. But where to get Administrative document . How ever i believe that google will fix issue i providedin further upadtes. Thank mam
As @ErmesT has said, official documentation would be needed. At some time in the past Google has received information indicating that the current boundary is correct. If they were to modify it based solely on someone’s opinion then there would be continuous edits as people voiced their own opinions.
Could you please link me to your previous post in the Maps community, I can’t find it using a search of your village name.
Hi @user_not_found I read the conversation about your problem and still you have not got final solution of your problem. Google required authenticate document about your village map to verify and then they will change the border on maps.
For authenticate document your need to visit this AP Govt web site.
Just give input like District name, Zone name & Village name.
After filling up capcha code you will get the Village map on your village and that’s from Government website which is authenticate.
Thereafter, the same map you will need to submit to Google Maps Community for further necessary editing on the map as you did earlier. I can see the Village Jarjangi has no 57 on the Government Document. I am attaching the screenshot of the same but you must download or PDF print at your end to send it to Google with all necessary references and this AP Govt website also. Just check the borders are as per your knowledge. I can see its looks a like the border drawn by you in yellow color. This map is uploaded of AP Government Website. I hope this may help you. If you need further help kindly let me know. Have a nice time. Take care.
To bro for your kind information @Rohan10 please tell me how to download this village pdf in mobile and how to inform about this village to google map .
