In my childhood days, when I started using the computers I came to know about Google besides the WordPad, notepad, and paintbrush…etc. gradually we all started using social media too. When I started to see the places near me, I felt so wonderful that I live nearby such places, which are pretty cool. When I read the reviews, I wasn’t aware of the ‘Google Local Guide ‘activities. It was my husband who explained to me about these activities.
Like me, you all are used to check about the places when visiting some places the first time. I liked the concept of helping people. Just a couple of months ago I started reviewing the places, taking the photos, being a local guide I found how interesting things around me. Likewise, I didn’t know that many restaurants in Ahmedabad host live music or comedy shows with food.
Being a neutral local guide I share positive, helpful and honest reviews. Taking photos of places to help people identify and understand places and food.Being a Local guide I’ve learned so much like:
- Sharing the facts is the kind of care.
- Adding a place, aware of the people of what’s happening around them.
- It has improved my photography skills
- Makes me more creative to write
- Inspire me to explore more about things and places.
- It enhances the power of my good intentions.
- It emphasizes me to be more optimistic and strengthen my soul.
I was very excited to gain more & more points, but now it’s added new points of interest. When I received the mail of my photos and reviews has so many views, I indeed felt my inputs can impact many people & helps them. I came to know about Local Guide Connect after getting an invitation for Connect Live 2020.
Very excited to make new friends, build meaningful connections, sharing each other’s knowledge and experiences, to know more about the different cultures. So eager to meet incredible fellow guides to hear them and to learn so much from them. I think empowering the Local Maps is empowering the Local Guides, and make them positive and optimistic and yoke our mind.
I hope my daydreams come true to meet all wonderful, incredible fellow guides on Connect Live 2020.
