I’m sure Google Maps is a great initiative ; Identifying places with photos, giving an opinion on places, be it a restaurant, a place of entertainment or a business, it is very useful !
We have such an offer at our disposal, especially me who lives in Paris, the feeling of “users” can save a lot of time, it can avoid us being tricked, and in addition it allows to discover places, experiences that we wouldn’t have thought of.
I have always loved taking photos and being useful, Google Maps offers me this possibility, helping and illustrating with photos, helping people who need information or illustrations to discover places, and helping them in their choice.
Giving one’s opinion by illustrating it allows the professional’s performance to be improved; When I publish a review I often get feedback from the professional, it takes my remark into account.
With Google Maps, I’m not looking for celebrity, I’m mainly trying to help people, well it’s true, I admit, recognition is pleasant, I really like to take photos, that they are seen by thousands of people flatter me a little, if I have a “like” I like.
Also, for me the photo is not only an illustration of a place, if I liked the place (and if I take a photo there is a good chance that it is the case), it is necessary that the photo makes you want to discover this place, I “build” it at the shooting, it must reflect what I felt when I saw it, it is out of the question that I touch it up before publishing it.
I am concerned about the honesty of my approach. It is like when I put an opinion, it is the exact reflection of what I think.
Like when someone has a question on Google Maps, if I don’t know I will abstain. I am sincere.
This is what Google Maps brings me, a space of sincerity and a window on the world, to decrypt it, to appreciate it, or quite simply to approach it.
I would very much like to be in San Francisco next October, it would be the culmination of my participation on MAPS, or perhaps a stage … It may be only a dream, finally which tries nothing. .
