Tips to avoid 1000 Photo limit - TravellerG

Dear All,

As you know, that there is a limit of 1,000 photos for LGs, if you use the ‘photo upload’ option, directly from the Connect Posts. But if you use Google Photos and use the ‘Copy/Paste’ option, explained in the post “Solution for the Limit of 1,000 Photos”, we can overcome this barrier. (Kindly read the previous post before reading this post, for full clarity).

Here are my personal recommendations, to use the method, effectively.

Remember:

  1. Do NOT ‘Copy & Paste’ from ‘Private’ Album; it will be visible only to you – it won’t be visible to the public.
  2. Also, after uploading your photo to a particular ‘Shared Album’, DO NOT MOVE THE PHOTO from there.
  3. IMP: After ‘Publishing’ any post, make it a habit to view your POST in ‘Anonymous’ mode. i.e. Open any ‘Browser’ (Firefox, for example); but, do NOT sign in to the Browser. Then open LG Connect (do NOT sign in to LG Connect also) & then view your post. This is the way others see your post.
  4. Personal Suggestion for the number of Photos: Using at least one photo in a POST will be good, to make your post more impressive; also, the first photo of any post becomes the cover photo of your post, which will be visible on Connect Board. A minimum of 1 to 3 photos will be appreciated in any General Post, whereas Photo-Posts of Zoo, Flower-show, etc. can go up to 6 to 10 photos. If you have more collections, then I suggest creating ‘Collage’ & show it. Creating a Shared Album & providing the link also works fine.
  5. Showing LINKS in bright colours will helps to get more viewers.
  6. Bigger Size Photos will take more time to upload and the same way, when the person reads your post, it will take time to download the photo too.

Solution: Resize your Photos to 1980 X 1080 Pixel Size (most of my photos are published in this size only –in Google Map & LG Connect). These photos will be very good for mobiles and good for computers also. Use a good software to ‘resize’.

  • For Desktop/Windows, I use ‘Image Resizer for Windows by Brice Lambson’ (Right click on selected photo/s to get the option to RESIZE)
  • In mobile, I use, ‘Photo & Picture resizer by Farluner Apps & Games’ (free & powerful App in Google Play store)
  • NOTE: You can use images of full resolution, in this method; kindly remember the pros & cons and take your decision.

Spread the word to help others, in our community.

Dear friends, @PoliMC @sonnyNg @MashaPS @HimsBoss @Siddiqui-BA @BeatrizAguilar @Shailz @Laofdez @Shahneywaj @Venky_lightbug & all, is there anything we can add to make Connect more LIVE?

Thanks.

Hi @TravellerG ,

Thank you for the additional tips. I also resize my photos when I post them on Connect but the quality remains the same to the naked eye.

Using colours in the posts is a fun way to make the selected text to pop. I should try it too.

@TravellerG , thanks a lot for your detail informations and tips on photo limits, also the resizing photos before posts. It will be very helpful for the local guides like me who do not know about the limitations. One question from me, Is this limit is for attachment of photos. with posts only? Thank you.

Yes, dear brother, @Siddiqui-BA :

  1. You can post any number of New Posts or Answer any number of posts, too, in LG Connect.
  2. Photos, if attached directly in the POST, like this, then you have to limit within 1,000 photos.

3. Also, NOTE that you cannot delete the old photos, as your post will miss it, if anyone reads it, later.

Previous post clarifies, many other points, dear. Hope your doubt is cleared fully.

Sincerely yours

Great to know that, dear @MoniDi - “…quality remains the same to the naked eye…” if we use a good software (using efficient compression algorithm), what you told is very correct.

If time permits, you can try the software, I have suggested.

Both the posts, referred by our @sonnyNg will be of good help to you, if time permits.

Thanks

Yes, dear friend, @OmerAli ,

We have a Photo LIMIT (of 1,000) and each photo should be LESSER than 3 MB, in size, in LG Connect, if we use the Connect POST option.

If you use Google Photo method, which I explained in the previous post, then there is not Number Limit or Size limit.

Hope, you are clear.
