Tips on avoiding traffics in Accra

If you have ever visited Accra, the capital of Ghana it won’t surprise you to know that most of the routes are full of heavy vehicular traffic. As a local guide for Google maps one lesson I’ve learnt over the years is the good use of Google maps for navigation. If you’ve noticed usually when you request for directions to a place on Google map, you will realize that some part of the route has a red colour. Most of us tends to be confused when we see that. The red colour on the route Google map gives us when we ask for navigation simply means such parts of the routes are congested or traffic prone at the moment of asking. So in this instance whilst driving to the destination you use major shortcuts to avoid these traffic zones. Another genius way of avoiding traffic is to follow commercial cars when driving. Most of these drivers are well conversant with the various routes in Accra and know where shortcuts and alternative routes are. Following them carefully can help a private driver discover new routes in order to avoid traffic. I hope this piece is of beneficial use to somebody.
