Photography with phone is increasing these days. Everyone seems more comfortable doing so, reason, phones are getting much smarter and powerful with the cameras they have and easy to carry. No doubt they are not going to replace the conventional way of photography. Being a local guide, phones are best way to click some good pictures. So I am trying to share my experience and some of do’s ans don’ts I follow to make the pictures more beautiful and capture some great moments when I am on the move.
1. ZOOM
Try to click the pictures without using the zoom. You can always crop the picture after clicking to get your desired composition. Also, sometimes it can help you avoid the wrongly framed angles or composition.
2. LIGHT
Try to choose the golden hour time for your clicks, means morning or evening light. This will give your pictures a more dramatic look and the golden hues even the best silhouettes. I know as local guide you can be on the move during any time of the day, still you can choose it for your best shots.
3. SUN
May be I heard it wrong, mostly People don’t want to click against the sun to avoid under exposure. Try to click against the sun or get the sun into the frame to create more drama with rays. I am sure you would love it.
4. MODES
Try wide angles for landscapes if your phone have that feature or try Panoramic mode and crop the picture later if required.
5. FLASH
Never use the flash, try to use the natural light as much as you have. You can always process the picture later on.
All the above pictures are taken by my phone itself. I use Snapseed and Lightroom apps for post processing. Please share your thoughts and ideas as well, where I can also improve. I hope you would like my experience and correct me if I am wrong somewhere. Thank you for reading it till this end.
