Some years ago I have visited various places in Gujrat with my friends. Our train reached at Somnath early in the morning. We hired a auto rickshaw to Somnath Temple. During journey the auto driver have asked to see a best and comfortable place to stay near the temple. On our consent he brought us to a PG which was running by a retired navy person. The PG was very neat and clean and rent was also very low. We have stay there and got ready for seeing the temple. After watching the temple and adjoining areas We returns to the PG but failed to locate. We know that it is just 5 minutes away from the temple but address is not traceable. We have not keep exact address, visiting card, symbol of the PG as there is dark in the early morning. No any other clue to search the PG. We have taken 4-5 round of every street of the locality but failed to search. After 3-4 hours when we passed infront of the PG the owner come out by chance and asked us for assistance as he saw us in trouble. When we started to say our problems , recognize him that he is the owner of the PG and found that we are stand infront of the PG. Very shameful situation raised at that time. So guys if you visited to a unknown place please keep proper address, keys and other related symbol of the PG, rooms or hotel etc. Thanks

This happened to us in Amritsar Golden Temple last year, but the hotel owner knew this issue regularly, so when we stepped out of the hotel, he rushed behind us and gave us the hotel card with the address and phone number 
When we returned late in the evening, we could find the hotel easily.
So usually, we keep some landmarks in mind when going to a new place.

@JSharma ja soetwas passiert vielen Menschen. Man muss sich wirklich Orientierungspunkte einprägen, nur in der Dunkelheit ist es umso schwieriger.
