What happened to My Timeline on the dropdown menu? App updated and now gone today . Is it now hidden somewhere like the My Contributions did a few weeks ago?

Can you please share a screenshot of the user interface?
The new UI in which contribute option appears at the bottom bar, maybe active in the app.
Further, have you deleted or switched off the location history? That can affect the timeline.

Hi @Steven49 thank you for sharing the screen short, most of the time updates can affect you experience on your app, you are using an older version of Google Maps, please update your app from the Google Play store, by following this link you will notice that the timeline is not suppose to show on older versions as stated from here Google Maps Timeline I quate ‘‘Note: You can see Timeline on the Google Maps app version 9.12 and up. If your Google Maps app is older, visit maps.google.com/timeline on your desktop or mobile browser to see Timeline’’

I can see the contribute option at the bottom. But to actaullgget to my Contributions is a lot more scrolling and clicking than when there was a menu top left.
there is now the profile icon top right with some drop down options but since today , Timeline is not there. This happened when app updated to latest. With new colored marker icon. I have not deleted history or location tracking.
How can you mark this as solution when my problem is not solved?
As far as I can see app is at latest version. 10.34.3
What is missing is top left there used to be a menu icon which then dropped down to show more options than the current profile option, shown top right.
Options missing include Timeline.
Hello @Steven49 If you are not happy with a solution, click on the three dots at the reply marked as a solution and remove that.
You have clarified about the contribute option. However, have you viewed the explore option?
Unfortunately, the rollout of the new UI is slow even though the app version remains the same. You need experimenting with that to see all the features.
PS: Till the time the UI issues are sorted out, you can see the timeline in the mobile browser. Please enter maps.google.com/timeline in the address bar to see that.

I have the same version: 10.34.3
But on my Maps App I have no issues with the timeline, as you can see, and I have the hamburger menu that I don’t see on your screenshot

In addition you can try the following:
- Logout from Google Maps app
- Clear the cache on your mobile
- Login again

That’s the new UI. Though the app version remains the same, the features are being switched on selectively depending upon the region.

That may explain it. Entered the EU region earlier in the week. Annoying.
Hi @Steven49 sorry about that, you mentioned that you had version 8.0.0 that is why I refereed you to this link which explain why you have issues on your Google Maps Timeline , this is from your screen short above:

Finally, the new UI is now active on my phone.
However, you could have found the answer to your question directly by clicking the “?” on the hamburger menu.
Below is a screenshot of that.
And now the timeline is at the bottom of the list.
Scroll the lists till the end to unveil that.
That is the UI that I had turn up a few weeks ago when Contributions moved out of the hamburger menu to the bottom of page. Then this week the hamburger menu disappeared altogether. Timeline no where to be seen.
