As a person who grew up by the sea, I can’t miss sharing how amazing the Bulgarian coast of Varna is. Here we go!
I remember going out for quick shopping - mainly the first aid for the kitchen which contained bread, some chocolate and olive oil. Ended up with an ice cream in my hand, sitting on the beach and taking pictures of the teens. The weather was great back then. This is one of the many sand locations where me and my friends gathered to ‘study’ during the exam sessions. Golden days!
I am not a fan of shopping but I do love spending time here. Not every place in Varna has a view to the sea. That, over there is Varna Lake, actually. Yup, there’s Lake View room type here.
No, this isn’t just a tsunami. It’s cloud tsunami. Every single morning, clouds over the lake of Varna raise and every evening they fall. It’s beautiful and I only remember seeing this over Vancouver. There probably are many other places like this one.
Speaking of clouds over the water, here’s an image I just can’t miss to share. I know, this isn’t Varna. North from Varna, there’s a small town where I worked a few summers, for a while. It’s called Balchik. Popular beach destination for Russian and Romanian tourists but there are other nationalities as well. you don’t have to be from a country with a name starting with an ‘R’ to visit.
I was listening Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple when noticed this beauty and captured it. Quite emblematic, isn’t it?
There are many of these by the sea, during the summer season. This is one of my favorites. Haven’t been home for quite a long time during the summer but I remember that my childhood was haunted by these, especially around the new school year. last day before school wouldn’t be same without cotton candy and a jolly ride! My granddad was allowing me to take as many spins, as I wish before vomit sometimes. Yes, he loved me but I guess he was a prankster.
There will be more views from the sea but you can expect more from the other places i have seen as well.
In case you wonder - quality is poor just because Local Guides asked me to reduce the file size … and some images were taken a few years ago, right before I manage to buy my precious Sony.
