This is why I love to be a Local Guide

I used to travel to a lot of places, international or domestic and photography being my hobby I used to click a lot of photos and post in on Facebook along with my experience in short description. I had never heard about Google Local Guide but one day I got an email to be part of this community. I joined it just like that so that I’ll have an additional storage of my photos and reviews.

I started contributing but from the last two years I realized that this is the best community we have got on internet where people share their actual experience of a particular place. It’s raw and unfiltered information which I really like. In short we are helping or guiding other people to chose better option, be it hotels, trains or any other places. Here, we’re willingly building our community, no one is getting paid or forced to do it.

I have improved my photography and video editing skills to help this community and provide accurate information. I write detailed review about the place I visited with some photos to give clarity about the place or location for other members.

It’s not just about rating 1-5 star, anyone can do that but for me it’s more than that. Whenever I visit any place, first thing I do is click as many pictures as possible so that I can share my feedback with some photos and it will help others in their choices.

I have answered 300+ questions and reviewed around 35+ locations with more than 380 photos and will continue contributing.

Hi @prit_gajjan , since there’s still time for the application, I really suggest you to read carefully at this Guideline again of how to make a good application post, which the post must be 300 words minimum and it should be under “Local Stories” topic, not Photography. Wish you luck!
