I recently traveled in Asia for 180 days.
Slept in dozens of different hotels and ate in hundreds of restaurants. Still I created only around twenty review altogether. Why is that? What was special, when I felt motivated to make a review? The title may already be revealing my motivation. When I got a routine service, I didn’t really bother to share anything. The difference came with the special attention from my host or my waiter. I felt many times after a good discussion, a few smiles, or some days spent at the same place, hey these guys are great, would be easy to make friends, let’s share it with others.
On the opposite end, you also get bad food or poor service. You are also motivated to share with others, not to fall in the same trap, you did. Or at least help you decide. And this is why Google Maps reviews are great. It gives you an anticipated knowledge, what you could expect. And without sharing, this would not happen.Motto: smile, and the word will smile back to you.
