Hello everyone, my name is Sumit and I am from India. In this story I will tell you about the ancient forts & palace in India. As you all know that India is 2nd largest populated country in the world. It has different heritage sites. One of them is Hawa Mahal “Palace of winds”.
It is a palace in Jaipur, India. It is constructed of red & pink sandstone. It has total 953 small windows called “Jharokhas” decorated with intricate latticework. The purpose of making this palace was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life and festivals celebrated in the street below without being seen, since they had to obey the strict rules of “purdah”, which forbade them from appearing in public without face coverings.
So, why I love to visit this place because of its natural beauty, structure and a story behind the making of this palace. From this I can imagine the lifestyle of royal ladies, her costumes & way of living etc.
