Out of all kind of things that I would share on Google Maps, food and drinks is that one thing that I have the most passion to share to others. To me, food is connected to emotions, people eat when they are happy and they eat when they are sad, but most likely after the eating, they would feel happier, so I always believe food is a catalyst for the world to have less sadness.
The photos in this post are from a Hong Kong restaurant called Wing Wah Southeast Asia Cafe, it’s more like a Hong Kong traditional Cha Chaan Tang but they serve fusion food that mixes Hong Kong food with other Southeast Asian styles. We went there for afternoon tea and so we only had a small portions of food, we had garlic butter fried chicken wings and kaya pineapple bun. The chicken wings were so well marinated and crispy that the garlic butter tastes so good and they have fried garlic over the wings so it’s not just crispy but also an extra texture when you bite on the wings, it’s a special way to make chicken wings and you would want to come back for it. This is actually the first time I had a pineapple bun with kaya paste inside, the pineapple bun itself is already satisfying, so I would say it can’t be bad in the first place, but I should say that the kaya paste is not the best I have tried but it’s definitely not bad so I would still recommend it.
The restaurant is not big but the atmosphere is chill and relaxing. It’s clean overall, and the staff were polite and responsive. There were a woman, I believe she is one of the bosses, practicing Chinese brush calligraphy when we were there and surprisingly, she wrote so well that we couldn’t help enjoy watching her doing it. The food amazed me and I would definitely come back to try other food of theirs and well, yes, the chicken wings again haha.
