This Is Indonesia #Tepian Sungai Segah

Berau, one of the regencies in East Kalimantan.

Berau has been known for its beauty with beautiful islands such as [Berau Telaga Biru](http://Berau Telaga Biru) and [Pulau Kaniungan Besar](http://Pulau Kaniungan Besar) .

Berau is also the largest coal producing area on the island of Kalimantan.

Most of the residents here are migrants from outside the island, such as from the island of Java. and Sumatra, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and even immigrants from Papua.

As a coal-producing area, it is certain that seeing coal barges passing by is common.

Coal barges usually pass through the Segah River which divides the city of Berau before to the sea.

Because Berau is a small city, automatically it is also limited to entertainment venues to simply relieve fatigue.

Thankfully, the Segah River’s banks have been arranged in such a way by the city government, so that people have a place to relax with family and friends.

The banks of the Segah River have since from the morning it is crowded with traders selling breakfast, during the day there are also traders selling lunch.

Busy hours on the banks are usually in the afternoon until evening.

When night falls, the traders here are diverse and the visitors are also busy. Starting from families, school children, office people and workers or visitors who come to stay in town before continuing their tour the next day around the island.

The best time to visit here in my opinion is in the late afternoon, the sunset here is very beautiful if the weather is clear.

The night view is no less beautiful along the river, passing barges Coal with the ship’s lights brings its own beauty to visitors to the shore.

It looks simple, but for us local people we are very grateful to be able to spend time with our family and loved ones even though we only see the twinkling lights of ships passing by while enjoying roasted corn and sugar cane juice. from traders who sell along the banks of the Segah River.

That’s a little story about me enjoying the night in Berau.

What’s the story of your city when night falls?

I’m sure your city also has something extraordinarily

beautiful.

Please share your story here, thanks a lot and have a beautiful day all :hugs:
