Me and my family moved to small province nearly seven years ago. I didn’t know this area and google maps were almost useless then here. At that moment I wasn’t yet a local guide, I just used a google maps for own.
I work in web-development, and my work involves sometimes to add new objects on maps. But me and my collegues did it for our customers and then I realize benefits of it. It helps all people include me and I saw that I’m not alone who had to hard to orientation of my area, then I did first time to corrections in google maps.
My town is small and remote from city, and here are lives therefore slow-progressing people who not advanced in modern IT. They not a savages, it’s just IT knowledge coming here sloooooooowlyyyy. Somebody trying to impact and involving others to using some modern technologies, but recently, I noticed, that not some good in here. Somebody adds objects to wrong address, or wrong object’s pictures, occasionally adds objects that never were here or the objects has another place location.
Our town has a lot of good beautiful places, and some people, like me, is needed to good guide, so, I decided to help to make a brilliant map in my location.
I changed markers and addresses before, but it was helpless to changes. Apparently, for now my status is not good for appends my corrections faster, so I’ll do my best for it. For a lot of local guides is hard to understood how to use this app. For example: For some local banks has posted a sawmill pictures, or not so long I discover that my pug was instead photo of famous poet monument.
